By default, Eclipse won't show any hidden files(dot files) such as .gitignore, .htaccess, etc. In order to view them, do the followings:
- At the top right corner of the Package Explorer, click on the little down-arrow.
- Select Filters and Customization....
- Uncheck *.resources.
