Remove the grid in excel:

1. Select cells that you want to remove the grid.
2. Change the background color to white.

MS Outlook 2010

Compact *.pst/outlook data file/archive file:

1. Right-click on your archive folder.
2. Select Data File Properties....
3. Under the General tab, click on Advanced... button.
4. Click on Compact Now button.
